Lynda Vusthoff

I am a mixed media artist living and working in Northumberland.

I love to explore new techniques & styles.

I developed the cityscapes while doing my degree but often get commissions for completely different styles such as the silk ladies.

I did more than one so as to offer a choice to my client. Painting on the Silk was very theraputic! This resulted in my working with lady offenders who subsequently went on to have an exhibition at the Castle Keep in Newcastle upon Tyne of the Silk Wall hangings they made

I work a lot with clay & have done so for over 30 years. I love the tactile qualities & creating in 3D.

I'm currently studying Designer Maker Glass & Ceramics at Sunderland University

I work regularly in a local school teaching ceramics to year 7 & 8 students

I also enjoy sewing & textiles and for many years designed and made garments. From this I started to experiment with textile art & collage

I set up my shop Doodle Workshops in 2010 doing workshops and allowing people the use of a space to release their creativity, which no longer is a bricks & mortar shop but the workshops continue in various locations or I'm happy to come to you too so please get in touch for more information
